Dyno Dynamics
The dynamometer is used to simulate road conditions. It is particularly useful for
diagnosing engine management problems on newer vehicles. Using the dynamometer enables
the technician to
pinpoint problems, for example inadequate fuel
flow, poorly flowing injectors and ignition problems. The dynamometer is the only
accurate means for setting up carburettor mixtures.
Power readings can also be obtained to compare before and after tuning performance
and gauge improvements from performance modifications.
